Leonard E. Hamilton, 86, of West, Texas went home to be with the Lord on April 2, 2024. He is now reunited in heaven with his devoted wife of 54 years, his parents, siblings, and many friends.

Leonard Hamilton was born on July 18, 1937. As a child growing up in Waco, Texas, he enjoyed riding his bike, going to the movies, and reading comic books. He witnessed the great F5 tornado in 1953 in downtown Waco and survived a fire that engulfed his beloved workshop, where he spent countless hours working on cars…a favorite pastime of his. He was a mechanic by trade and always found a way to stay active and busy. In 1956, he married the love of his life, Ellenora Robinson. Leonard, his wife, and their children moved to West in 1974. He loved bowling, traveling with his wife, and fishing with his nephew Joe. Surviving family members include his sons John Hamilton of West, Leonard Hamilton of West, and his daughters: Louise Guderian of Hewitt, Paula Eastwood of Luling, and Marie Teakell of West. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

Family visitation will be on Friday, April 5, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Bellmead Funeral Home. Burial site service will be held at Rosemound Cemetary at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Women's Cancer Society to honor his late wife, Ellenora Hamilton, whom he loved more than life itself.

To all of Lens family. We enjoyed many weekends at the bowling alley with Len and Louise when we lived there . I always enjoyed talking to him when he was visiting with Louise. I wanted to be there but the short notice made it difficult to get a flight there. I feel your sorrow and pain. May God bless all his family at this very sad time. He will again be with his wife that he loved so dearly. Joe Pitts
