To all the family, sincere condolences. I was so sorry to hear of Doug's passing. Had not seen him in years but enjoyed his posts on Facebook so much. I looked forward to see what wry humor he might post.
He will be missed by many. My prayers for all of you.

Sorry for your loss, prayers for your family. My mom and I worked at. L3 with Doug when it was Raytheon. He was a very sweet person and never met a stranger. He will be missed by L3Land all.

What a sweet heart. The world is poorer without your humor and wisdom.
In the sweet by and by,
We shall meet on that beautiful shore;
In the sweet by and by,
We shall meet on that beautiful shore.

My memories of Doug which go back to high school, then being neighbors and starting our families on Ponder Street in Lone Star, to becoming Facebook friends in our retirement years all include lots of smiles and laughter. That is a special trait he had.

I meet Doug due to my adopted brother, Danny Thomas. He was a good friend and treated me well. We had just reconnected last year and I had been looking forward to seeing him next month. I will miss his sense of humor and the love he had inside in spite of the hard countenance he put up as a facade.

I pray that the Lord will wrap your family in his loving embrace and provide them only the comfort that he can provide during this time of mourning. You were a true friend that will live forever in the hearts of those who knew you. Rest in peace my friend and I will see you again someday and hear the stories of the home made Oreo cookies, that your mom made just for you. God bless you until we meet again on the other side!!!
