My sincere condolences to the family. When someone falls asleep in death (Ecclesiastes 9: 5,10) the memories we have of them become our most precious treasure. May those memories comfort you as well as Godís promise at Isaiah 26:19 of a future, earthly resurrection.

I began talking to Gary on the CB radio way back in the 80s, so I first knew him as Gary "The Eight Ball." As time passed, we began communicating by phone and in person, as we had similar taste in music. We exchanged cassettes in the mail for a few years and I met his parents while visiting him at his home on Bell St. Henry & Annie were such kind, wonderful people. After bowling in a league one evening, a few friends who bowled on my team joined me while visiting Gary at his house and discovererd that he and one of my friends knew each other from University High School. Small world! After Gary joined Facebook, we communicated some there, as well. He loved shopping @ HEB and cooking. He took great pleasure in the simple things in life and that's what I fellt made Gary such a fun and unique friend -- from running a box fan in his bedroom window, to listening to the sound locust make in his backyard during the summertime. He loved classic rock from the 70s, so you could bet he would have a 45 spinning on that turntable most of the time! RIP dear friend. It was indeed a pleasure knowing you. My sincere heartfelt condolences to all the family.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Losing a loved one is never an easy thing. I find so much comfort in the Bible's hope of the resurrection found at John 5:28,29. It will be a nice time when will be reunited with our loved ones once again. A time when we will never have to ever lose a loved one to death again. Revelation 21:4. Please accept my sincere condolences

Gary was the best customer ever. I knew him from H-E-B. He came by about every week to pay bills buy money orders, etc. He brought me and my coworkerís butterscotch and cinnamon candy every time he came in. He even shared his motherís lemon bar recipe with me. I will remember my friend Gary for his kindness and friendship. I already miss picking on him when he was in the store.

My condolences to the family. If you seek God's comfort He will give it to you. In 2 Corinthians 1:2-4 He is called 'the God of all comfort'. He has promised in Acts 24:15 that there will be a resurrection of the dead. There is a small tract that tells more about it. You can read it at the site below. Steve
