So sorry to hear about this. I remember Dickie and David from high school. While I didn't know either of them very well I remember they always seemed in good spirits with smiles on their faces.

I met Dickey and Davy at camp Tahuaya in the late 60's and early 70's when we all worked on summer camp staff. Dickey was a tremendous young scout and a lot of fun to work with. We did not realize it at the time, because we were so young, but the seeds of future success for the Huaco Lodge and summer camp programs were set in motion by both Dickey and Davey.

I have so many fond memories of Dickey to this day, I will miss him greatly. He was part of a team of young scout leaders at summer camp. Dickey set the bar high for all of us in the years to follow.

We were all made better by Dickey ... he made the world a better place to live in. I will miss Dickey. God Bless you and your family Dickey.

My sincere condolences to all of your family. God Bless you ... Rest in Peace my friend.

Dickey was my Scoutmaster when the Troop moved from Lacy Lakeview to the VFW post near Cameron Park back in the '70s. He was a great Scoutmaster--full of energy and totally committed to Scouting. He introduced me to the highly addictive hobby of patch trading and collecting and got me started with a few patches. His excitement about collecting was infectious--45 years later, I'm still hooked! Dick was a great role model and adult leader to the boys in the Troop. He was a great influence on me. We had a lot of great times at Camp Tahuaya, OA conclaves and trade-o-rees. Huaco Lodge has lost a brother, but he is now reunited with family in heaven. Rest in peace friend. You will be missed.
