Robert Cagle beloved husband, father, granddad and friend, 84, of Elm Mott, Texas passed away peacefully at home with his family on Friday, May 13, 2022.
Visitation will be 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm Wednesday, May 18, 2022 at Bellmead Funeral Home.
Graveside services will be 10:00 am Thursday, May 19, 2022 at White Rock Cemetery.
Robert is preceded in death by his parents, Sherman and Ola Cagle; sisters, Edith Gibson and LaVern Fetner; daughters, Brenda Franklin and Leah Cagle; sons, Duane Harwell and H. C. Harwell Jr.; and grandson, Jeremy Franklin.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 49 years, Martha (Culverhouse) Cagle; son, Cameron Harwell; grandchildren, Tristan Harwell and his wife, Kara, Justin Harwell and his wife, Jennifer, Desiree Harwell, Ashley Suter and her husband, Mike, Dale Harwell and his wife, Gabby and Sarah Franklin; great-grandchildren, Maci, Amity, Phoenix Harwell, Kaelyn, Easton, Colton, Alyssa Harwell, Abrianna, Deryn, Heyli, Gus, Raylyn, Heath, Noah and Levi.
Robert Cagle was born June 13, 1937 in Muleshoe, Texas to Sherman and Ola Cagle. He started school in Breckenridge, Texas, moved to Moody, Texas and attended school there. He graduated from Midway High School in 1955 with a class of 17 students. After graduation he attended College at Texas Tech. He worked various jobs until he went to work in the sheet metal trade as an apprentice for 4 years. He worked several more various places until opening Cagle Sheet Metal in Elm Mott, Texas where he worked side by side with his best friend Scott Ruby. He retired in 2002. Robert was a member of the Elm Mott Volunteer Fire Department for 23 years most of those years serving as Chief. He was a member of the Sheet Metal Local Union 67 for over 60 years. He was a huge lover of being out doors. He loved to fish, hunt, grow vegetable gardens, all animals and going camping. His biggest passion was always spending time with his family.
Pallbearers will be Tristan, Cameron, Desiree, Dale, Alyssa, Gus and Phoenix Harwell and Scott Ruby.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to White Rock Cemetery Association or the Elm Mott Volunteer Fire Department.

    I am so sorry for your loss. I have known Cagle for about 60 years when he worked for my husband Bob Sosebee at Central Engineering. I remember his dad cooking bbq chicken and having people over for the day. May your memories give you comfort at this time.
