Rosemary McMurtray, 85, of Waco, Texas entered into eternal rest on Saturday, May 21, 2022, at Baylor Scott & White Hospital at 6:14 p.m. She spent her last days surrounded by family.
Rosary will be recited at 9:30 am and Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 am on Thursday, May 26, 2022 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bellmead. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial Park Cemetery.
Rosemary was born March 18, 1937, in Jersey City, New Jersey to Sophie Marie and John Bartholomew.
She is preceded in death by her parents; four brothers; and her husband, Fred Wallace McMurtray Sr.
Rosemary is retired from the human resources department of Texas State Technical College in Waco, Texas. She loved holidays, fishing, dominos, bowling and especially gathering with family. She was a member of the Grand Chapter of Texas Order of the Eastern Star.
Rosemary is survived by her beloved sister Delores Miller; her children Debbie Thigpen, Donna and husband (Michael) Brown, Charles and wife (Kay) McMurtray, Fred McMurtray Jr., and Thomas and wife (Missy) McMurtray; twelve grandchildren, and many great and great-great grandchildren.
She was adored by all. Rosemary will be deeply missed by her family and be forever in their hearts.
