Audrea Cherie Sopher
June 13, 1951 - June 10, 2022

Audrea Cherie Sopher, 70, passed away Friday June 10, 2022 in Waco, Texas. She was born June 13, 1951 in Oskaloosa, Iowa the daughter of Lewis William ''Bill'' Sopher and Audrea Ann (Briscoe) Rose. She graduated from Roosevelt High School in Des Moines, Iowa 1969. She continued her education at Des Moines Community College Area II, University of Northern Iowa, and graduated with a Bachelor Degree of Special Education and Elementary Education from Drake University in 1979. During this time she worked many different jobs to pay for her schooling. She started her teaching career in Des Moines, Iowa. She continued her career in Special Education in Evening Shade, Arkansas, Goldthwaite, Texas, West Columbia, Texas and retired from Bellmead, Texas in 2011. She enjoyed arts and crafts, photography, reading, and her pet dogs. Audrea is preceded in death by her parents Lewis ''Bill'' Sopher and Audrea Ann (Briscoe) Sopher Rose also by a brother Barry Lynn Sopher. Survivors include a brother Gary William Sopher and his wife Mary Jane, a sister Marilyn C. Sopher Scott and her husband Timothy, step sisters Julie and husband Robert, Connie, and husband Paul, Kity, Newell and his wife Rie. She also had many nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews. Burial will be in the Bloomfield Cemetery east of Oskaloosa, Iowa. Memorial Service will be 1:00 pm Saturday June 18, 2022 at Oak Lawn Baptist Church, 2105 Behrens Circle, Waco, Tx. 76705. Feel free to bring a photo or memory to be added to a scrapbook for her.
