Marilyn Kay (Crow) Ondrej, 66, of Waco, Texas passed peacefully on July 9, 2022 surrounded by her daughters.
Marilyn was born on July 28, 1955 to Gerald and Mary (Gray) Crow, in the bustling city of Houston, Texas. Marilyn graduated from North Shore High School in 1973.
In 1976, Marilyn married and moved to Waco. She was blessed with two daughters. Marilyn worked for 10 years at JS Barnett office supply. Upon their closing in 1989, Marilyn became a stay at home mom, raising her daughters. She served as a board member of the LaVega Band Boosters. Marilyn was very active in all the school activities for her girls. In 1998 Marilyn began her career in policy services at Texas Life Insurance Co. In 2018, she retired after 20 years. Marilyn made many lifelong friends during these years at Texas Life. She lived her last years enjoying her kids and grandkids. Marilyn was a devoted daughter, mother, and friend.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her daughters Melissa Garner and husband Scott of Axtell, Erin Starling and husband Justin of Hewitt, 5 grandchildren, McKinnah, Sagen, and Blakely Garner, Emmalyn and Easton Starling, Uncle Homer Gray and wife Patricia of Clifton, special sister in law Barbara Ondrej of Spicewood, and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 10:00 am Saturday July 16, 2022 at Bellmead Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at Waco Memorial Park. Visitation will be 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm Friday, July 15, 2022 at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Providence Hospice. (6700 Sanger, Waco, TX 76710)
