Dorothy Jean Petitt, 101, of Elm Mott, Tx. passed away Saturday August 6, 2022 at a local Hospice facility. Funeral Service will be 10:00 am Friday August 12, 2022 at Bellmead Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Waco Memorial Park in Robinson, Tx. . Visitation will be from 6-8:00 pm Thursday August 11, 2022 at Bellmead Funeral Home. Dorothy was born to Edward and Lacey Guffey Owen in Clinton. Ill. Dorothy loved her church and her church family and was a founder of The Church of the Redeemed and attended for 15 years or more. Dorothy was a good cook and loved to cook. She is preceded by her parents Edward and Lacey Owen and a husband Lonnie Petitt. Her survivors are a daughter Belva Petitt of Elm Mott, Texas. Daughters-in-law Betty Petitt and Lavone Petitt also many Grandchildren.

League City, TX Wednesday, August 10, 2022 Bella, Betty and Lavaughn...I am so sorry to hear about Aunt Dorothy passing away. I'm sure going to miss her and her cooking, especially her homemade hen and noodles for the holiday times. Wish I could be at the funeral but I want be able to be there.
