William David Higginbotham, 74 of Bellmead, Texas, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, December 12, 2022 at The Atrium of Bellmead.
David was born September 30, 1948 in Waco, Texas to William S. and Freddie Lee (Cochrum) Higginbotham. They both preceded him in death.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Darline Higginbotham; his sons, Ronnie Higginbotham and Jason Higginbotham both of Waco, Texas; his grandson, Jonah Andrew Higginbotham and his wife, Erica of Arkansas; his brother, Jamie Dale Higginbotham and his wife, Daina of Bastrop, Texas; and his aunt, Annette Bloskas of Liberty Hill, Texas.
He graduated from University High School in 1968. He retired from TSTC Police Department and went on to retire from The American Red Cross in 2013. He loved old cars and working on his old Volkswagen with his grandson. David loved the Lord and he loved his family very much, he will be missed by them greatly.
To honor his wishes there will be a private graveside service for the family in the coming days.

The family would like to thank Quincy, Stephanie and the staff of The Atrium of Bellmead for your kindness and great care he received while there. The family would also like to thank Dr. Wright, Brandy, Ruth, Ty and the staff of the Wound Care Clinic at Ascension Providence for their continued care and friendship. It was greatly appreciated.
