Jimmie Lou O'Dell
February 16, 1931 - July 31, 2023

Jimmie O'Dell, age 92, a resident of Lakeland, Florida, passed away peacefully on July 31, 2023.
Jimmie was born on February 16, 1931, in Houston, Texas. At the age of 9 she moved to Waco, Texas where she lived for 62 years before moving to Lakeland, Florida to be with her son and his family.
In 1956 she married Fred Minter and they farmed in the Riesel area for over 37 years. They moved to Robinson, Texas in 1991 and Mr. Minter died there in 1993. She moved to Lakeland, FL in 2002. There she met Stan O'Dell and they married in November 2004.
Jimmie is survived by her husband of 18 years, Stan; 2 Sons - Matthew (Vicki) Minter of Lakeland, FL and David (Flo) Minter of Riesel, TX; 4 stepchildren - Michael, Kevin, Kathy and Pat; 4 grandchildren - David Minter Jr, Lori (Brandon)Blasingame, Jessica (Matt) Correll and Cassie (Drew) Price; 10 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by a son Michael Minter, KY.
Graveside service will be held at 10:00am on Monday, August 7, 2023 at the Riesel Cemetery in Riesel, Texas.
