Hazel Mae Stanford 81 years young was born to L.V. Butcher and Willie Mae Dunigan on April 21, 1941 in Paris, Texas. She passed away May 8, 2022 with her family at her side at St. Catherine's hospice wing at 3:15 pm.
Hazel had various jobs over the years ranging from waitress, carpenter, to homemaker. She was very faithful to church, enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, and was an absolute joy to be around. She always had a smile on her face, a friendly hello, and hug waiting.
She was proceeded in death by her mother Willie Mae Shipley, her father L.V. Butcher, bother Leroy Butcher, brother Terry Butcher, son Sammy Lee Kirkpatrick, her brother Sammy Butcher, sister Dorothy Butcher, and grandson Little Sam Kirkpatrick. She was survived by her husband of 34 years, Charles M. Stanford, a brother Jerry Butcher, a sister Linda Sue Northern with husband Mike Northern, two sons Lonnie Kirkpatrick and DeWayne Williams and daughter Renee Thomas, two step sons Paul Stanford and wife Peggy, Mike Stanford and wife Melissa, grand children Crystal Kirkpatrick, Crystal Williams, Amber Cleavland, Andrea Jones, Rosemary Hanus, Dorothy Wall, Brittany Eller, Kimberly Sanders, Abbigal Stanford, Kohl Stanford, and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
Viewing Saturday 6:30-8:30pm May 14, 2022 at Bellmead Funeral Home.
Funeral will be graveside at Rosemond Cemetery at 10 am, Monday May 16,2022.
