I served in the Army.
Elizabeth N. (Liz) Fisher,71, of Hallsburg, Tx. passed away Friday morning November 11, 2022 at her home. She was born August 4, 1951 at Fort Hood Army Hospital to her parents William J. and Nellie B. Watts. Liz is preceded in death by her parents, a son Arthor Sean Finnie, and two brothers Jerry Watts and Jimmy Watts. She is survived by her husband Darrell Fisher, a brother Johnny Watts, many nieces and nephews, and a grandson Curtis Finnie and his wife Ashley. Liz was a people person who never stopped serving. After graduating high school she. earned a degree in computer science at Henderson Community College. She then served a term in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam era and received an honorable discharge. She met her husband Darrell in 1983, and they were married the next year on her birthday. Liz was a devoted wife and mother, taking care of her family while working too. For years she worked as a printer pressman and finally a seafood manager at H.E.B. in Bellmead. Liz loved life. She loved going to Surfside Beach every year and she loved going on cruises. Graveside service will be 2:00 pm Thursday November 17, 2022 at Rosemound Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8:00 pm Wednesday November 16, 2022 at Bellmead Funeral Home

    I met Liz shortly after she met Darrell. He was my best friend which soon made her my best friend. they helped me through some pretty rough times. I wished I could have been their more for her and Darrell lately. I will never forget her whit and laughter. One tough lady.
