Wilma Jean (Merriweather) Souer York, 94, of Waco, TX
peacefully went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, January 21, 2018,
surrounded by family.
There will be a casual dress visitation from 10:30 a.m. to
12:00 p.m. Saturday, January 27, 2018 at Bellmead Funeral Home with graveside
services to follow at 1:00 p.m. at Rosemound Cemetery.
Mom was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and 2
brothers and their wives.
She was a very giving, caring and loving wife, mother,
grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great grandmother and aunt. She will be
greatly missed by all. She loved her plants, cooking and trying new recipes.
Her first love was always her family.
Survivors include her sons, Edwin Sauer and wife, Pricilla,
Gary York and wife, Ernestine and Ray Boman; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren,
great-great grandchildren, nephews and nieces.

Austin, TX Thursday, January 25, 2018 I am writing this on behalf of my family.Wilma lived at the St. Catherine Center as did our mother, Rose Lee Richards. We talked to Wilma many times while visiting our mother; she was funny, thoughtful, and unfailingly kind. We appreciate the many times that she guided our mother back to her room and the many cups of strong, black coffee that Wilma ordered up for her. RIP
