Arnold "Job" McKinney, beloved husband, father, and "Pappy" passed away peacefully on April 18, 2020 at the age of 87 in Hutto, TX.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, June 27, 2020 at Bellmead Funeral Home.

Born on January 11, 1933, in Petros, TN, he was the son of Allen and Nellie McKinney. While proudly serving his country as a Staff Sergeant at James Connally Air Force Base, he met his life-long companion, Doris, at Jordan's Cafe in Waco, TX. They married in April of 1953, and happily shared homemade biscuits and gravy for 67 years. Arnold loved watching the Texas Rangers in the spring, the Dallas Cowboys in the fall, and a good western on all the days in-between. He was a proud mechanic, an honest business-owner, a professional Skip-Bo player, and a man of impeccable devotion to his wife, daughters, and family.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Allen and Nellie McKinney, and his siblings, Max McKinney, Buddy McKinney, Lawrence McKinney, Violet Bunch, Lila Henry, Lana Shannon, and Reba Wilson.

He is survived by his one and only wife, Doris McKinney of Hutto, Texas, his two daughters, Pam Dvoracek of Hutto, TX and Brenda Huffman and her husband, Randy, of Chalk Bluff, TX and three siblings, Carol Henry and her husband, Tom, Betty McKinney, and Judy Miller and her husband, Junior, all of Wartburg, TN.

"Pappy" is also survived by his grandchildren, Amy Podsednik and her husband, Jason, Brad Hoskins, Jessica Mendiola and her husband, Edgar, John Dvoracek and his wife, Virginia, and Brandy Richardson and her husband, Coty. He leaves behind eight loving great-grandchildren, Macy, Jersey, Ashlee, Shandy, Cadience, Anson, Emric, and Koen.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made to the American Alzheimer's Association or to the Scottish Rite Hospital.

Thanks for being the best pappy I could have asked for. You were the strong foundation of our family and taught us all how to love hard and live strong. I have so many great memories of you! It seems like you were around for my whole childhood, every milestone moment, and you were there to help me pick up pieces from the hard parts. You and Nanny were always there anytime any one of us were in need and you would have given us the shirt off of your back if you knew we needed it! Thanks for being an amazing reflection of God in our lives!
