Linda L. "Nanny/Aunt Dumplin" Barefield Jordan, was called home to be with her Savior Wednesday, May 12, 2021 surrounded by her loving family.

Graveside service will be held at 11:00 am Friday, May 14, 2021 at Waco Memorial Park, Waco, TX. Officiating will be Terry Wilkerson, of Oaklawn Baptist Church.

Linda was born July 21, 1938 in Mexia, TX to Alton and Alice Barefield.

She was employed at Central Texas Veterans Health Care System. After her retirement in 1994, she began her second career at Airfre Filter Service. Her work allowed her to make lifelong friends which she cherished. Linda never met a stranger and was always there to help others in time of need. She was a member of Oak Lawn Baptist Church in Bellmead. Linda's joy in life was taking care of her family. She overcame obstacles in her life with grace and dignity with the help of her Lord and following the example set by her parents.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Charles Sargent and Joe Jordan; and Aunt, Maurine Easterling.

Survivors include daughter, Sherri Jones Gaby and her husband Kenneth; son, Gary Sargent and his wife, Dianna; grandchildren, Melisa Morgan and her husband, Richard, Michelle Brown and her husband, Tony, Melanie Kruppa and her husband Ralph, Chrystal Thomas and her husband, Shawn and Lauren McAninch and her husband, Scott; sister Carol Glassie and her husband, Fred; 12 great grandchildren; and nieces and cousins.

Pallbearers; Craig Morgan, Hunter Kruppa, Shawn Brown, Kyle Morgan, Tyler Brown, Kaden Kruppa. Honorary pallbearers; Ethan McAninch, Miles Thomas, Felix Thomas.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Alzheimer's Association or Oaklawn Baptist Church.

    Linda was a part of a Ladies Bible Study in my home and she was a blessing to all of us. My heart hurts for her family because I know she will be missed. She loved her kids and grandkids so very much. I thank God she is in Heaven today praising our Savior. Prayers are being lifted up for the family.
