Ronnie Lewis Burney went to be with our Lord and Savior on Saturday, September 11, 2021

Memorial service will be 2:00 pm Thursday, September 16, 2021 at Bellmead Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Lester Adams officiating.

Ronnie resided in the Waco/Marlin area. He graduated from La Vega High School in 1990 then attended Navarro College on a sports scholarship. After college he worked at Lockridge Priest for many years then at Cambell Appliance until he had an accident that left him a paraplegic in 2009. But he did not let this stop him and continued to strive and live life to the fullest. Ronnie was a loving father with three sons.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Becky Burney; his paternal grandparents, Charles and Frances Burney; his maternal grandparents, Herman and Dorothy Pick; his cousin, Christy Rodriquez; and a nephew, Justin Baker.

He is survived by his sons, Jacob Burney and Maddox Burney both of Waco and Ethan Burney of Utah; his sister, Shelly Warren of Waco; his brother, David Hayslip and his wife, Hope of Oklahoma; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
